The rotary electric machine start is terminated by switching the current to the motor field when the magnetic flux is generated due to the armature winding turning on. When the current to the motor field is switched at the time of starting, as described above, the rotary electric machine stops, an energy stored in the motor is returned to the stator, and a torque is generated in the stator of the rotary electric machine to affect a working efficiency of the rotary electric machine.
